Global Talent Visa
Global Talent Visa
The Global Talent visa is a flexible UK immigration route designed to attract exceptional individuals who have demonstrated – or have the potential to demonstrate – significant achievements in science, research, engineering, arts and culture, or digital technology. It offers a flexible, fast-track route to settlement and represents an alternative to traditional work visa routes such as the Skilled Worker visa.
Unlike most UK work routes, this visa does not require employer sponsorship, nor is it tied to a specific job or salary level. The visa is valid for 3 years and ILR can be granted in certain circumstances after this period or the visa can be extended. Dependent partners and children under the age of 18 can also come to the UK.

The application is a two stage one in that the applicant is first required to obtain an endorsement from an endorsing body relevant to their talent field, and then can apply for the global talent visa. These endorsements are given out by six entities, each of them being responsible for a specific field:

-
The Royal Society - Science and Medicine
-
The Royal Academy of Engineering – Engineering
-
The British Academy – Humanities
-
Tech Nation - Digital Technology
-
Arts Council England - Arts and culture
-
UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) - Research applicants
If your qualifying field is fashion, architecture or film and television, Arts Council England will pass on your application for review to:

-
British Fashion Council, for fashion
-
Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), for architecture
-
Producers Alliance for Cinema and Television (PACT), for film and television
Eligibility criteria vary by endorsing body, but applicants must usually evidence that they are either a leader or potential leader in their field and provide:

-
A personal statement outlining contributions to their field
-
A detailed CV with publications, achievements, or innovations
-
Recommendation letters from experts or senior professionals in their field
-
Evidence of past recognition (awards, patents, media coverage, public appearances)
-
Evidence of future contribution to the UK in their field
